The First United Methodist Church Youth Ministry seeks to meet the needs of youth in grades 6th through 12th.
You Belong Here. We aim for all youth who choose to see what we are about to leave with a feeling of belonging here. We strive to provide our students with a welcoming, safe, and healthy community where they can develop thriving relationships with their peers while exploring and growing in their spirituality. Therefore, we provide regularly scheduled weekly activities and bi-monthly (sometimes more frequent) special events/ trips.
There are no "requirements" for you to hang out with us. Not a member of First UMC? Ok. Come anyway. You and your family don't attend worship with us on Sunday morning? Ok. Come anyway. Bring a friend, or don't. We play silly and sometimes pointless games every time we gather. Usually, there is a faith-building practice; sometimes, we only play games and take time to see what is happening in each others' lives. In the end, we hope your youth feel that they belong here.
