In 1855, the Yakama people, along with 13 other tribes and bands, signed a treaty with the United States government which established the Yakama Reservation at the foot of Mt. Adams in south central Washington.  Since that time, the culture, families, and dreams of the Yakama people have steadily disintegrated.

Sacred Road Ministries (SRM) was incorporated on February 11, 2005 with a burden to love our “first neighbors” in word and deed.  We love our first neighbors by redeeming broken lives, restoring hope to the oppressed and rebuilding the community.

Chuck and Neena Clevenger moved to the reservation in February 2009 with the desire to love and serve “our first neighbors” well.  The goal is to establish a dynamic, healthy church in the remote town of White Swan.  The Sacred Road team reaches out to the community through efforts to redeem, restore, and rebuild the people of the Yakama Nation through:

  • Discipleship Groups
  • Youth and Children’s Ministry
  • “Kingdom Kids” After School Center
  • Hope Fellowship Church Community

Behind every successful church planting work, there is a strong team of believers who are: praying faithfully, investing financially, and supporting physically.  Would you like to join First Church in helping support this ministry?
