This is a unique opportunity to participate in the preparation for the FUMC renewal event next weekend. The church needs your prayers for Kingdom Encounter! Sign up to offer special prayers for this event at a designated 30-minute period from Saturday at 8 a.m. through Sunday at 8 a.m. Sign-up sheets are available in the church office, Sunday School classes in the Narthex, or in the church Commons.

Special Music for this Holy Season

Derek Pitman will lead a music festival, What Wondrous Love, on Palm Sunday at FUMC that will briefly cover the milestones of Holy Week through choral and instrumental music and scripture readings. The choir will consist of First United Methodist choir members, Maple Street Baptist participants, along with some Lee University vocalists. There will also be a brass octet, comprised of four trumpets and four trombones. Selections will include “God So Loved the World” and “Ave Verum”, along with early American music, contemporary gospel arrangements, and congregational selections.
